UMiami is my top school with Texas not far behind. The thing about Texas though is that my school doesn't rank so I don't know how they would look at me. The classes are extremely tough but that being said I am not at all happy with the 3.3

other schools I like are Tulane, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

UTexas has a state requirement to accept the any Texas students who graduate in the top 8% of their high school class. This leaves very few spots for out of state candidates. As a result competition is very tough. With a 3.3 UW GPA I think Texas is a reach.

While your GPA is a little low for Miami you have strong SATs which probably make it a match.

As for the others:

Michigan: Reach - If you get in there’ll be no financial aid beyond loans.
Wisconsin: High Match to Low Reach - That GPA is a killer
Arizona - Match - OOS makes this tougher than the stats seem. ASU would likely be a safety.

Thanks, and Miami is my top school with Texas second. I plan on applying to Miami ED and basically I just want to go there so badly. Will they really not take me because of my GPA even if my school has a dual curriculum and is very rigorous

Hey guys, I am a high school senior who currently lives in Texas.

I want to know my chances of getting into The university of Texas

I am a Canadian citizen and a resident of Quebec.

My GPA out of a 4 is a 3.8
My GPA out of including ap classes is 4.5
This past semester my GPA was a 5.6 out of 6.
I have taken 9 AP classes, 2 sophomore year, 2 Junior year, and 5 this year.
I have a composite SAT score of 2120.
Math 760 writing 690 and reading 670.
680 Math I SATII
650 Math II SATII (I was sick that day so that probably why it’s low)
I’m taking the Biology and Math II SATIIs this weekend and will probably get around a 700 on both. I am taking the ACT for the first time in February.
I am rank 151 out of 1060 students in my class( that’s most likely because of my nine AP classes[i got all A’s in them except my first AP class sophomore year in which I got a 78])
I was born in Montreal so I don’t know if that helps.
I have 187 community service hours at Memorial Herman hospital
I have 32 hours at my churches food pantry.
I play soccer but won’t play If admitted
I applied to chemical engineering.

What do you guys feel my chances are. I’m feeling nervous about college because I just had my interview with Brown and I’m debating doing more to improve my chances at UT
