I’d say that you stand a pretty good chance. You standardized test scores are within Ivy range. You 3.8 GPA is a bit below Ivy, but it shouldn’t be too much of a hindrance. E.C.'s show leadership, but it looks like you did more freshman year than later years. Assuming that you have great essays, and you get teacher recommendations closer to 9’s out of 10, then the Ivy’s should be a low reach/reach.

Chance back?

HYP might be out of range with your gpa. I think Brown, Cornell, and Dartmouth are definitely viable options.

i dont think harvard yale princeton are out of range if you actually go to the ninth ranked school in the country… when i mean ninth ranked i mean like youre at deerfield, andover, exeter, hotchkiss, choate… somewhere like that…

your indian/hispanic mixture is rlly unique and i think that might help a little bit…
great ecs and solid test scores…

i feel like youre a match for all ivies except for HYP…
those would reaches… but it wouldnt be a surprise to me if you were accepted.

good luck.

When I say 9th, I mean public magnet rank by Newsweek. But I have friends @ deerfield and exeter and my classes keep up with/surpass theirs. So hopefully. And thanks!

You have a great chance at some of the lower Ivies like Dartmouth and Cornell. HYP would be a reach, but i’d still apply.

You’re golden. Just write an essay that shows you are intellectual as well as smart. You need to prove your character, not just your ability to work!
Also, the income won’t matter so much if you are applying to these schools. Many of their admissions and financial aid offices are completely separate and your cash bracket won’t change your chances.

Your GPA is a little low, though I think that you’ll get into 1-2 of the lower ivies and have a realistic shot at HYP.

Wow great stats! Lots of good ECs and good schoolwork! I think you have a decent chance so you should apply everywhere you want.
Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1439775-chance-me.html

other than your gpa everything else is great! you have a good chance at the lower ivies, and for hyp, I mean no one really knows who gets in except the admissions officers them selves. so, good luck!

You sound like you’re in a great position; you have very impressive test scores, course load, ECs, etc. I think the Ivies are definitely within reach for you.

Being in a top school would help to compensate your lower GPA, so I would not worry too much about the 3.8ish. However, being in a highly competitive school may also hurt your chance as there are so many students from your school applying to the ivies too. Anyway, you should not worry as you will be sure to be admitted by one of the great schools. Since the acceptance rates of these schools are rather low, you may want to apply to more schools and add some schools below the ivy caliber to the list.
