Chance Me | For the Ivy League Schools

Hi! Thanks for chancing me! Our academic stats are very comparable so I’ll assess you primarily from an extracurricular standpoint considering I’m not too sure of my own chances haha. As a lead clarinetist and a show equestrian jumper, along with some Model UN involvement, there’s no doubt you have strong activities and even some substance for college essays (should you choose to write about those). However, I’m going to take a bit of a leap and say that, considering your equestrian involvement, you might be from a wealthier or rural area- where I’d assume school status and reputation alone are important. I’m also extrapolating upon this due to the fact you just said you’d like to be chance’d for the ivies- 8 incredibly strong yet academically deviating schools. I don’t mean to be harsh in that opinion but regardless, ivy is an umbrella statement.

If you’re merely seeing how you’d fare with regard to schools of ivy-caliber acceptance rates, I’d assume you have an overall good chance; by that, I mean if you were to apply to 10 ivy-caliber schools, I would see you getting into three or maybe four (higher chances than most). However, on the upper end of that scale (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Stanford), I’d say you need a hook of some form to get in.

Very strong applicant nonetheless. Thanks again for chancing me!
