Im pretty average except for the Siemens award? WHat are my chances?

I’d say you have a decent shot at certain Ivies, definitely Cornell, but consider some other schools that have a little bit of a higher acceptance rate but are still prestigious too like Notre Dame, NYU, Duke, etc. Do mine? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1316495-what-my-chances-getting-into-these-schools.html

you probably need to get your GPA up if you want to get into ivies. however you should consider brown and/or cornell. It also highly depends on what you want to major in. but you should definitely consider other top tier school that aren’t in the ivies. you could probably get into most of those such as Johns hopkins, carnegie mellon, tufts, vanderbilt http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1322177-chance-me-please.html

I don’t see any need for you to take the SAT because you have a fantastic ACT score that’s good enough for any school. Do make sure you perform well on your SAT subject tests. As others have said, your GPA and rank is on the low side for Ivy League and similar tier schools, especially if you go to a non-competitive public school that only sends a couple or no kids to top tiers. The Siemens award definitely helps but, barring some particularly stellar recommendations and essays, most likely will not pull you through for the very tippy top like HYP and similar-caliber schools. However, you definitely have a pretty good shot at schools in the top 20 - 10 zone, like Cornell, Vanderbilt, etc., and you should still apply to top 10 schools because you have a chance.
