Thank you so much!

The only thing that could hurt is your rank but I found that the UCs aren’t too hard on that lol. Make sure you show continuity in your ECs. Otherwise, work on those essays and get good recs. You are in great shape academically! Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/816473-chance-aa-female-elite-schools-updated-stats.html</a></p>

Wow 130th with a 4.15…ridiculous…you should be at least top 100 or 75. Top 50 at my school and we are the most competitive in the district.

You should be in everywhere. Certainly everywhere except UCLA and Cal but I am pretty sure you will get in there too.

Chance back please?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/817453-ok-ill-bite-uc-chances.html</a></p>

Thank you for chancing me!

I’ll chance you guys!

Okay so my school actually ranks by unweighted GPA. So pretty sad…

And also! afc10ns, do you really think I’m going to get into Cal and UCLA? With those majors?

And also, how bout UCSD and UCD for those majors…because I heard they are pretty competitive.

Chance me please! =]
Super nervous because I really want to go to UCB or UCLA.

I’ll chance anyone as long as they post their links here…

Your rank may hurt you but your scores make up for that somewhat. You lack continuity in you ECs so they wont help nor hurt (theyre good enough), so Id say you have a good shot at UCLA and Cal is a low reach. All others seem like matches

chance back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/804723-chances-ed-dartmouth.html</a></p>

I know that many of the UC’s give preference to students from CA, so keep that in mind. From experience you have no guaranteed way to know about UCLA, I feel as if they are very random with their selections. You seem to have a very impressive application though so I think that you have a good shot.

Thanks! Anyone else? I’ll chance you back!

BUMP!!! 10char

I think you are definitely in everywhere except LA. Often times they can be a bit random with their acceptances ^ as said above. Berkeley is also a high match.

Thanks! Chance me, and I’ll chance you!

Hmm…so even with those hard bioe majors I’m in?

bump bump bump! Are those good majors to pick to get in?

Yes, because not all Life and Science sections are impacted, they will admit you as Undeclared LnS. I think your scores are high enough to get you into the impacted sections at UCSD and UCD. Remember, even if your ideal major is impacted, if you work hard enough you can still switch in, because its merit based.

Thank you afc10ns. That was very helpful!

I think you are in, the only thing I think you have to worry about is your chinese at the CC. My teacher was talking about how they dislike you taking classes available at your highschool at a community college. She’s really worried about many of our students have taken no high school credit language and only applying with CC credit.

Strong shots at all UCs, UCLA and UCB are more unpredictable, but I think you will be fine. btw, how do you score so high on the writing section? I always thought I am good at that part, but I can’t raise my score up. Anyone wanna help?

Wowie, I never went to CC to take chinese classes. I got dual credit for taking it at my school. Awesome, huh? I didn’t even have to go to CC =]

Pretty-Girl, writing is definitely study-able. I suggest you get a good grammar workbook. And practice writing good essays that are 2 pages long, long sentences, good vocab, etc

Well then I think you’re set!!

Best of luck to you :)

And if you are still feeling anxious, this is how I think about it: even if you don’t get into cal, you will probably get into ucla, and if you don’t get into ucla, you will probably get into cal, and if you don’t get in either, you will end up at ucsd or ucd, highly respected and competitive schools, especially in Life sciences.

^^Thanks!!!
