Hi, I am new to this website and was wondering if I could be chanced for some colleges.
My junior year of high school ends in a month and a half, so I am hoping to get some insight about my chances on a few colleges I am interested in!
Colleges:
College of the Holy Cross
Union College
UMass Amherst
NYU
Northeastern
WPI
Muhlenberg
BC
Trinity College (CT)
Here are my stats:
GPA: 3.64 UW (should be ~ 3.7 by end of semester) 4.24 W
SAT: 760 (Math) 640 (Critical Reading) 620 (Writing) - Total score 2020 - I retook this yesterday and hope I got an 800 on my math… I also got a better prompt for the writing… So that should go up also!
Rank: School has not revealed yet (Probably top 25%)
*ABOUT MY GPA: My sophomore and junior year have been nearly perfect! I have almost gotten 4.0 GPAs each year, however, my freshman year was really bad, averaging about a 3.0 (I think). I know freshman year is the most negligible, but I still think this might look bad… I have a mental disorder, which I self-diagnosed myself in 9th grade, and since then I have been a lot better. I hope colleges can understand this!
AP/Honor Courses:
Honors Math (Freshman - Junior Year) + AP Stats and A/B Calc next year
AP Chem, Honors Bio AP Bio
APUSH and AP Psych
Honors Latin (Sophomore - Senior Year)
ECs, Awards and Leadership:
Work Experience (2 1/2 years) @ toy store
Ski Team (1 year)
DECA (1 year)
Leader of a Jewish Youth Group
Volunteer at a hospital (1 year)
Manager of Yearbook next year and been part of yearbook for one year
Latin - Summa cum laude award (2 years)
I may have more to add… But I cannot think of them off the top of my head.
Thanks!
*ALSO if you could recommend some colleges in the Northeast area that are good for science, please let me know! Thanks again.
