Any other schools I should consider that might be good for me? :D any replies will be helpful! :)

Northwestern (ED!!), Dartmouth, MIT, Duke, UPenn, Cornell
NW High Match (ED)
Dartmouth Low Reach
MIT Reach (It’s not you, it’s the school)
Duke Low/Med Reach
Upenn High Match
Cornell High Match/Low Reach

Strong GPA, low test scores, asian (-), strong community service, mediocre ECs
Did you apply to any safeties perchance?

Also chance me back? It’s the one called “Chance me for Northwestern, JHU, and others” should be at the top of the list  BEST OF LUCK TO YA!!!

Thanks!! And yeah I already got accepted to my safety so I am good with that! I know my test grades are low and my ECs are mediocre except for math stuff and volunteering haha… i was kind of relying on USAMO to get me through. I just really want to go to Northwestern, glad it is a high match! :D

thanks for the chance! I just chanced you as well.

Cornell and UPenn are certainly not high matches for asian with low scores. All of these are reaches, despite your USAMO success.

Also, it will be very difficult to walk on to a varsity rowing team. Based on the info provided, you have not won any rowing awards/competed in competitions. If you are at the level of a walk-on at an Ivy, then that EC is probably the 2nd most valuable EC behind USAMO.

Yeah…im sorry Sameer but you have a very distorted perception of these schools. None are matches. They are matches for no applicant. Much less a 30 ACT. I dont mean to be particularly nasty; but it’s the truth. I want you to be realistic, not a prophet of false misconceptions or fantasy. Northwestern is a low reach. Everything else…high reach. Good luck! I truly wish the best for you.

NU high match
Dartmouth Reach
MIT High reach
Duke Reach
Upenn Reach
Cornell Reach

If you don’t get accepted to NU, I would say your chances at those schools are quite low. NU is easier than all of the following schools, and ED helps a lot there. And if you are accepted to NU, well, then it doesn’t matter for the rest. Not sure those apps are worth while. I’m not trying to be discouraging.
