Please, please chance me for:
Northwestern
Yale (my #1)
Brown
Cornell
Duke
UPenn
University of Chicago
UC Berkeley
UCLA

THANK YOU!

hey u can get into any of these universities easily …u r too good :)

You certainly can get into any of these, but with a school like yale, it is basically a coin flip, you have put yourself in great position for it however. I had a friend with similar stats as you who got rejected from yale and harvard, but got into princeton… I am positive you will get into some of these. UCLA UC Berkeley, U of Chi, Duke and Cornell for sure, and you will most likely get into a couple of the others.

If I were you I would apply to a few more ivies.

Thanks guys!

bump bump? haha sorry if bumping’s obnoxious!

^I’m sorry but are you kidding MoveItLikeBernie? What would the rationale be for the OP to apply to more ivies? Isn’t the point of the college application process for the prospective student to apply to schools he/she is actually interested in attending? I think so. OP, you should NOT apply to more ivies unless if you have researched places like Harvard, Columbia, Dartmouth, etc. and decided that you actually like those schools. Such an ignorant comment.

Anyway, OP you have excellent stats- you should be very proud! Your ECs at a cursory glance appear to congregate around volunteerism? I would focus on that in your app.
Yale and UPenn IMO will be the toughest reaches for you. Other than that, I think you’ve got a pretty good shot! Best of luck!!

All are possible. None are guarantees or even schools where the odds are with you, simply due to numbers. Ucla is prob your safest bet.

^ anniezz, is it not realistic for me to aim past UCLA?

Everything looks really good except the SAT Subject tests. You really need to get an 800 on Chemistry if you wanna make your Chemistry achievements much ore legitimate. You also need to feature your personality. A good essay is necessary.

Yale is a High Reach (you have a shot, but really EVERYONE is a reach)
Cornell is a Reach because it only takes into account CR + M on SATs
Same goes to all the other non-CA universities- all reaches
The California schools are high matches, though

^ thanks.
Should I retake Chem or US History this Saturday (can’t do both because of new tests)? I was thinking US History, since that’s much more relevant to all of my journalism activities and my interest in the humanities.

Can you do both? Better yet, are you already signed up?

If you can. do it. 770+ is great.

Yeah, I’m signed up! I was thinking of taking Literature and World History as well, though, and then retake US History.

Colleges want only 2, at most 3. Don’t take too many, because colleges may not take in account all of them. Retake the ones you have.

Oh, yeah, that makes sense. I’ll skip on World History then, and retake Chem + US and then take Literature as well.

Phoenix, aim absolutely, but make sure that have reasonable safeties as well. Even harvard turns away half the applicants with perfect scores.

Yep, thanks anniezz. I’m just gonna keep my head high I guess.

bump? (: haha thanks!

Lol I can’t stand people like you. If you want to maximize your chances of getting into a great college then you should apply to more great colleges. Go shove that campus loving crap up your bumhole, hockeydude.

Anyone else want to be so kind as to share some insight? Thank you!
