here are the schools I'm considering applying to (* denotes early action):
Harvard
Princeton
MIT*
Columbia
Cornell
Vanderbilt
Duke
Notre Dame*
University of Chicago*
Georgetown*
Davidson
Georgia Tech*
Wake Forest

Also chance me for the various merit scholarships some of the schools offer? Like Georgia Tech's Presidential Scholarship for example.

You know most of these top schools do not offer merit aid, while your family income is too high for need based aid. On the other hand, top scholarships are very very competitive and they look far beyond stat. Considering the quality of candidates at thidea schools on your list that do offer merit aid, your credential is among average of their top candidates. So there is nothing guarantee. Even for schools that are less competitive and offer more presidential scholarships, your scores are still in the grey area.

Yes, I understand. I’m just curious if I have a shot at any of the merit-based scholarships at the less prestigious schools on my list such as Georgia Tech, Wake, and Davidson.

bump. anyone?

Your stats and ECs are good, but not really enough to get you into those extremely selective schools such as MIT. For them, you have to do something outstanding in most cases. Still, apply or you won’t get in for sure. For the less-selective ones, you have a decent chance. But remember, most of the schools you mentioned are very selective, so you should be applying to less-selective schools than those plus a few safety schools. Good luck!

Wow, you’re great all-around, although the EC’s are not quite on the same level as the grades and test scores.
I agree with the above comment that you need something outstanding.
IMHO:
Harvard: Rejected
Princeton: Rejected
MIT: Rejected
Columbia: Accepted
Cornell: Accepted
Vanderbilt: Accepted
Duke: Accepted
Norte Dame: Accepted
U Chicago: Accepted
Georgetown: Accepted
Davidson: Accepted
Georgia Tech: Accepted
Wake Forest: Accepted

Chance back?

Admission and merit scholarships are different levels of games. You may look at the subforum for each school and search for the scholarship threads to see the credentials of those who got the merit scholarships.
