Junior in high school, Illinois resident, female
Stats:
ACT: (first time with no prep, taking at least 2 more times with a lot of prep and a tutor)
C: 25
E: 30
M: 22
R: 25
S: 23
GPA:
UW: 3.51
W: 3.59
EC’s:
Gymnastics 9th grade
Community service club 10th and 11th (will be doing it in 12th as well)
100 hours of volunteering at a hospital
Part time job
School cancer fundraiser (10th, 11th, and most likely 12th)
I’m aware they’re very weak, my school doesn’t stress how important they are so I made a lot of mistakes early on. I plan to do cross country, volunteer more, and join a few more clubs next year.
AP’s (total 9-12th, some haven’t been taken yet)
AP World (A)
APUSH (B)
AP Psych
AP Lit
AP Gov
APES (or AP Bio, haven’t decided yet)
Intended major: nursing
My school doesn’t rank but I would assume I am for sure in top 50% and potentially top 25%
I am going to apply to these schools:
-UIUC (obviously a reach, but it’s worth a try, especially because I plan to raise my ACT and GPA and do many more extra-curriculars, also will probably apply to their LAS school which requires a lower ACT)
-ISU (safety school, nowadays they let in anybody with a 20 or higher on their ACT)
-DePaul
-Loyola
-Marquette
-Purdue
-UW Milwaukee
-UIC
You don’t have to chance me for all of them, I know it’s a lot! Also, if I raise my ACT to maybe a 27, would my chances increase? Thanks!
