my school choices: MIT, Caltech, UCB, UIUC, CMU, Stanford, Princeton, Cornell, UTexas@ Austin, Harvard, Brown, Georgia Tech

someone plz reply…

I will consider your ACT, as it concords to a level meaningfully higher than your SAT score.

I don’t really understand your GPA. It would be helpful, given the variability in methodologies at different schools, if you explained how it was calculated. If your school ranks, it is also helpful to know this to improve perspective.

Assuming you are going to score well on another Subject Test (some of those schools you listed require 3 or more), I’d say everything else looks great. You didn’t list any community service, but if it is passable, I’d say you have good chances everywhere despite your lackluster SAT/ACT scores.

Good luck.

O yeah, i forgot. I volunteered at the library. I also did NHS which requires a lot of volunteering. I am also 1 out of i’d say like 200.

Are you willing to share your race/location?

MIT,: High Reach
Caltech,: High Reach

Georgia Tech : match

no really’s point should be well taken. The Ivies are hit and miss with the top students no matter what. We had a valedictorian, recruited athlete, NMF, ACT 35, SAT 2300, great EC’s, all 5’s on AP’s that didn’t get into Harvard and Yale but was accepted by Stanford and even then she claims it is only because the coach made it happen.

That said, I have a friend going to CMU and you look like a very good fit for them (btw…he loves it). He is a computer science guy and applied to all relevant schools within CMU to up his chances which worked.

If you are female, MIT could work out well for you too (another friend there who claims this is what got her in).

the only schools you have good chance are UIUC, and UT-Austin. The rests are hit and miss

Congratulations on having such fantastic record! I agree with Asian75 on the idea that UIUC and UT-Austin are DEFINITELY schools u have a great chance, with UT-Austin being a safety esp if ur instate. The others are crapshoots but I think CC really overestimates the qualifications needed to get admitted to these schools, which is DEF a good thing because it forces you to be ur absolute best. However, i def think you can hope to get into at least a few of those top notch schools! Best of luck! You have everything you need, now lets just hope ur the lucky one!
