ummm… i’m assuming you’re asking for SAT scores so:
Math: try your best to get 800. Every azn dude at my school applying to EECS at Cal has that, and I know fosho half of them will be slash. Then they all have another 800 in physics and chemistry, and boy they rub it in my face 10 points lower and i have to suffer T_T
Physics: Get above 700, at the very very least. That will put you above the cutoff scores. As much as colleges refuse to admit it, they do have cutoff score values. You’ll have a much better edge, though, if you get above 750.
The East Coast privates are really competitive… LOL i’m just applying to the schools and being all “oh it’s a crapshoot maybe i’ll win the lottery and get in”. my gpa is pretty bad XD

But if your SAT IIs are above 750, you should be in good shape because your GPA is pretty damn high. LOLz.
Class rank also gives you a boost, as well as the AP classes.

LOL i might be wrong though… i’m only a senior too XD not an admissions officer XD

Well, it’s too late to take another SAT, since I’m retaking the SAT II in January. So… how much do you think good essays and teacher recs are going to help my chances?

SAT IIs in math and physics/chem right? because all engineering schools require them… T_T

Good essays and teacher recs are definitely important, especially the recs.
They tell the admissions officers what kind of person you are: are you respectful? lazy? cocky? smart? hard-working? talented? There have been many people with high gpas and super high SATs get rejected because they had bad teacher recs…
Though many colleges say essays aren’t that important, essays are important for officers to know what kind of personality you have. Are you confident? or just plain cocky?

Common sense tells me that colleges don’t want cocky asians XD

obviously you don’t want to demean your self either… but don’t brag, don’t fudge.

Your course load may very possibly cover your low subject score (in physics) and your gpa is good for most of these except harvard, stanford, mit, jh, duke which would be reaches (very high for harvard/stan/mit) in my opinion. I think you have a good chance for usc and almost all of the ucs. good luck! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1261160-please-chance-me.html

you still havent chanced me back - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1233558-my-story-will-my-dream-schools-understand-6.html?highlight=my+story

lol

This is kind of late, but as an update, I’ll be attending Berkeley this fall.

I got accepted by every public school I applied to and pretty much rejected from every private school I applied to (except for USC).
