@Physiques According to Stanford 74% of applicants have an ACT score between a 30-36. Of those who apply with such scores only 6% are admitted. Know since you have a 34 your chances could be slightly better say anywhere between 8%-12%.
I don’t think Stanford is all about test scores though or that test scores are a super major factor. For instance according to the class profile 15% of applicants had an 800 math score of those who applied with this score 0% were admitted!
Now I’m not sure if it’s exactly 0% it could be anything from 0%-0.5% but that’s still super low. Even if you have a 36 ACT score and a 2400 SAT score expect to be rejected since statistically your more likely to be rejected than accepted with these scores.
Now if you want to have a good shot at MIT I’d advise you to apply early. Those who applied early action have a 13.4% admit rate. Applicants with an ACT score between a 34 to 36 have a 12% admit rate. Again decisions are random so I can’t really tell if you’re going to be admitted or rejected.
For UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara you have very good chances of admission, your chances range from 50% to 75%, this could vary by major but regardless you have at least a 40% chance of admission at the more selective UCLA and UC Berkeley.
Finally for UIUC consider yourself admitted 100% admit rate and probably a good candidate for a scholarship, just make sure you demonstrate enough interest in the school. Now it’s probably not 100% but your chances are so high that I would be shocked to hear of any other outcome. Consider this your safety school.
