Chance me for these schools!

Hello everyone! I’m currently a junior at a small school in Massachusetts and I was wondering if anyone would chance me for getting into these schools? I’m a white, middle class female.

Georgetown (Mom went there, sister is currently a junior there)
University of Michigan
University of Washington Seattle
Providence College
American University
The College of William and Mary
Loyola University Baltimore
Boston University
Boston College
James Madison University
George Washington University

EC:
Competitive dancer
National Honor Society
Big Friend (program at my local boys and girls club)
Manager at my schools radio and TV program
Relay for Life team captain
Class Secretary
4 clubs at my school (green committee, peer leaders, young democrats, best buddies)
200+ hours of volunteer throughout my high school years so far

Work experience:
Dance teacher
Babysitter
Work at ice cream place
Hostess at small cafe

Due to my small school, there is a policy that you can only take 2 APs junior year and 3 senior year (schedule conflicts, not enough teachers, etc). I am currently taking AP biology and AP language and Composition. Next year, I plan on taking APUSH, AP chemistry and AP literature. As for my other classes, they have all been honors except for my physics class freshman year.

Also, due to scheduling conflicts I was unable to continue taking French this year. There was only one French 4 class offered and it was the same time as AP bio. But, I plan on taking it next year so I will have 3 years of foreign language.

Weighted GPA: 4.3/5
Unfortuny school does not do unweighted

Class rank:
As of the end of sophomore year, 12/110

PSAT: 1220/1600
Low score but I am not taking the real SATs. I am being tutored in the ACTs and will take that in April. I took a practice test before I started tutoring and received a 27.

I definitely need some financial aid but not a ton. I am leaning towards international relations as my major but not completely certain. Any suggestions or tips are also welcome! Thank you!

You should definitely try to get more government experience if you’re applying as IR! I don’t see a clear passion in your app, so you should concentrate your extracurricular time on things related to what you want to pursue. I predict:

Georgetown: Reject (SFS is extremely competitive, even with legacy, & what you’d be applying to as an IR major)
University of Michigan: Waitlist
University of Washington Seattle: Accept
Providence College: Accept
American University: Accept/Waitlist
The College of William and Mary: Waitlist
Loyola University Baltimore: Accept
Boston University: Reject
Boston College: Reject
James Madison University: Accept
George Washington University: Waitlist

Best of luck! Chance me back?

You should really look into a government program such as house/senate page or girls’ state if you’re looking to do international relations. Similar to what was stated above…

Georgetown: Reject (SFS is so competitive)
University of Michigan: Waitlist
UW Seattle: Accept
Providence College: Accept
American University: Accept
William and Mary: Waitlist
Loyola University: Accept
Boston College: Reject
Boston University: Reject/ Waitlist
James Madison University: Accept
George Washington University: Accept/ Waitlist.

Best of luck and if you get some sort of gov’t experience that would definitely be good for your application in the IR field.

It sounds like you are not trying to apply for IR but some performing arts program. Try to attend a camp in IR.

GPA & class rank are OK.
