Strong chance for GW, American. Probable for Emory & BC but GPA is a little low. Your AP’s are a plus though and your class rank shows that your GPA is strong in comparable to what the school offers. Hope this helps! (I’m not that familiar with the other colleges sorry!!
What state are you from? I know that UVA and UNC heavily favor in state students and make it a lot harder for oos to get in. UNC only accepts 28% oos students.
University of Miami- High Match
Emory and Oxford- High Reach(Emory), Low Reach(Oxford)
Georgetown- High Reach
George Washington- Match
American- Match
UNC- Reach (instate) Out of Reach (OOS)
UVA- Reach ( instate) Out of Reach( OOS)
Boston College- High Match/ Low Reach
Vanderbilt- Out of Reach
Wash U- Very High Reach
You can Improve your chances by increasing your ACT score. If you can get a 35 you will have a better chance at Vandy, WUSTL, BC, and Oxford as they prefer High stats over high GPA.
If you ED1 at Oxford you would have a very good chance. It would be a Match if you did that.
Thank you for your reply! Yes many of the colleges I listed were stretches. I am planning on applying ED1 to Emory, because why not, but I will be happy if I get into either GW or UM
I am out of state I know those two are very high reaches but they are not really my first choice anyway
@sgoodman19 do you have any hooks?
Well I don’t think I have any CLEAR hooks… I do play a very unique instrument with which I have been first chair for 2 years in the top band in my state. I also speak/read/write a VERY unique and difficult language, and I also spend a large portion of my summers in that country. (I am a dual citizen). But I do not think this is considered a hook.
