Agree that Northeastern might be tough because they yield protect, if he was ED candidate, would likely be admitted. I think USC, UCSD and Michigan are very possible. Vandy and Duke both seem to have significant increase in apps this year and will be tough. UNC has an 8 percent out of state acceptance rate and gives preference to ea candidates, so probably unlikely because it is unlikely for all oos rd candidates.
These are solid stats but to be fair you will be compared to your peers that also have access to quality resources. I think you have a solid shot but lots of these highly rejective schools will also expect you to have made a genuine impact in your community. You have to stand out with the âdetailsâ. If your LORs are as excellent as you say they are, that differentiation should have come across in those recommendations. Hopefully, you also applied to some safeties to get the jitters out of the way. Good luck and try to enjoy the outcome!
Make sure all the costs valuation and anything you note that sounds lofty or any head of something are accurate. I listened to a webinar recently from a top 20 school and provided an example of something sounds too good to be true they may check on it (prob only for someone they are really seriously considering) - they found one student in app wrote they lead an organization that raised or valued at 1 million dollars (donât rem specific) school called the org and asked because they were suspicious- wasnât true, student was just a volunteer.
Yea, I heard about a different one and was honestly scared to death. Was gonna inflate the numbers, but just decided to keep whatâs on the tax returns
