You are a very competitive applicant for all of your schools.
The connection with UMich will certainly help, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it a safety.
Along the same strand as other posters, I don’t know that you can call any Ivy a match, but you definitely have great credentials and could certainly be admitted to any of them. You will no doubt end up at a great school, and I would venture to bet you’ll get into at least one if not several of the great schools. I wouldn’t stress.
Chance back?http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1401217-co-kid-southern-schools.html

You have a good profile and will be competitive at any school you apply to. In general, I agree with most commenters on this thread about your chances.

First of all, your academic profile is completely solid. Your class rank could not be better, your SATs are well within all of the university’s ranges, and your SAT II’s are very good. The problem for you comes in with your extracurricular activities. Though you are obviously academically fit to go to the most selective schools, 90% of other applicants are, too. Therefore, things such as extracurricular activities are important to defining who you appear on a college resume, and though your EC’s look good, there is nothing that pops out at me. In the end, you look like several other applicants, and don’t tremendously stand out. Therefore, your essays will be absolutely crucial in defining who you are in your application, and thus, your chances of getting in. I do wish you the best of luck, though.

And, if you don’t mind, I’d appreciate a chance back at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1394691-chances-selective-universities-thanks.html . Good luck! :)

Berkeley, Mudd are matches ( 70 - 90 % )
Michigan is safety
MIT, Stanford, Princeton – high reach (~10%)
U of Chicago, UPenn, Cornell – reaches (~20%)

Chance back would be great, I’m applying to similar colleges:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1402433-chance-me-please-harvard-ucb-stanford-mit-caltech-cornell.html

I don’t think many posters are giving OP enough credit for being val at a very competitive HS that typically sends multiple students to Ivies and other top schools. Also, there are no glaring weaknesses here. I stand by my earlier guesses and continue to think Cornell or Penn would be a good use for her ED.

I went to an ELITE high school that sends 30-40% to top 20 colleges.
And, I stand by my statement.

She has chances at those colleges. That is about it.

Whoot! The feeling I had for my reading score came true 800 reading, 800 math and unfortunately so did my feeling about writing, 730 writing DX. Single sitting score of 2330 and superscore of 2360. Not perfect, but I don’t even care anymore >.< Do you think it’ll make any difference? I totally didn’t win anything for siemens, but I still want to submit my research. It was simple but I still put a lot of work into it.
