@SugarBubbleTea In India , 10 th grade is the most crucial academic year so the result is always higher compared to the other years. Also my 11 th grade results are well above the average score of the students in my school. Will that help ?

Well, a college isn’t gonna want to see that you did really well in the year that counts the most, and then slacked off after that. That’s why colleges hold the right to rescind applications for seniors in America. A lot of times, they do really well junior year, and then slack off the next year and colleges don’t want to see that. A 6% drop is huge and it could be what keeps you out of a top school.

@SugarBubbleTea‌ I definitely didn’t slack off in my 11 th grade. Every student in India has a considerably lower grade in his 11th than in his 10 th. This happens because the 10th grade question papers are set and corrected by the government and the results determine your admission in senior school . However the 11th grade results largely depend on the school a student goes too . If the colleges were to compare my result with my fellow classmates my result turn out to be much better. I don’t mean to sound obnoxious but getting a 90% in 11 th grade is considered great (compared to 70% which is my school average ).Also the average sat score in my school is 2030 which shows that it’s quite an academically strong school. So considering this information can you please chance me for these colleges.

bump

bump. Please guys i would really appreciate your help

bump :|

We don’t understand Indias school system well enough to provide meaningful insight. However, looking at your ECs they don’t seem business oriented enough. Apart from an internship at an investment firm, I see nothing that shows passion for business.

@SternTurn‌ Thank you for your reply.

What else could i have done or can do to show that I have an interest in Business ? Because I genuinely am : )

If your school already has an existing business club then join it and try hard to gain a leadership position. If not, make one yourself and join some local business case/business plan competitions. You could even make your own business. At this point, anything can really benefit your chances in terms to additional business oriented activities.
