Hopefully I can write good enough essays to get into UChicago. My school also has a fantastic relationship with UChicago (they accept 10% students every year) and I’m really banking on this, frankly. Anyone with an SAT greater than 2350 (GPA at least 3.65), stellar essays and a lot of demonstrated interest has a 50+% chance of acceptance according to Naviance…!

I’m also looking for other schools I might be able to apply early to. Any advice on this is appreciated!

P.S. Disregard the username - this is actually my sister’s account haha :)>-
P.P.S. Maybe I’ll even ask her to chance some of you guys back for me

Well, you seem qualified for any of these schools, but I caution you on banking on Naviance. Those stats can be misleading. Your list seems quite reach heavy. Add some safeties and remove up to half of your reaches. EC’s are fine.

Why are you particularly interested in UChicago? It’s a great, great school, but other than your high school having a “fantastic relationship” I don’t see anything that makes me think that you’d be a particularly good fit there, or at any other school. I don’t have a good sense for what you are like and what kind of environments would appeal to you. I’m also confused by the statement that “they accept 10% students every year”. 10% of your HS class? I can’t believe that. 10% of all from your school who apply? That’s about the overall acceptance rate to Chicago, so nothing special.

Rejected from Harvard.

I would say you’ve got a pretty good chance for most of these. I would say you have a very good chance to get into NYU and Cornell. As for Chicago and Columbia, I think your probably in as long as you write really good essays. Good luck.

I think you’re a good match for any of these schools, but they do have extremely low acceptance rates. Add some more safeties!
Good luck!

I think you have a chance at all of these schools, add at least 1 school with an acceptance rate over 50 just to air o the safe side!
