Spent three months a year in a small Mexican village, learning Spanish, learning about other cultures; had a minimal impact on grades in freshman and sophomore year, plus switching from full French school. Maintained a part time job during the school year for four years as well as a full time (6 days a week, 9 hour shifts) over two summers. During the same two summers, I volunteered at a local hospital (2-3 times a week) as well as shadowing a surgeon. I spent my free time sailing and boating on the river. During the school year I was the leader of the Mathletes, first place winner of the local “Brain Bee”, and member of the golf team, ski team, and ran track. I am trilingual (English, French & Spanish). During my high school career, what I loved most and was most passionate about was meeting people and learning about their lives (Mexico, Hospital)
I’m planning on applying to the following schools:
Canada
•Queen’s
•U of Toronto
•McGill
•Dalhousie
•U of Waterloo
U.S.
•Stanford
•Johns Hopkins
•Princeton
•Harvard
•UC Berkeley
•Columbia
Please tell me if I’m crazy to apply. Thanks
