Wow, I am nearly in the exact same boat as you. Same GPA, everything. I am really curious what people will say.

Try to retake the ACTs - a 29 will hurt you

Wouldn’t it look weird to an adcom if I retake the ACT as a college student?

No not really, I would definitely suggest a retake. Also just so you know, a sophomore transfer will have their high school record waited much more heavily than a junior transfer, so if you don’t get into most of these schools and keep your grades up youll have a better chance next year.

How much higher do I need for a realistic chance at any of these schools?

34?
10char

Yeah 33+ would be good, but its ok if you’re slightly lower. Focus more on getting as high a college GPA as possible and writing great essays.
