Any tips on letters of recommendation? I have one GTA in mind, but I’m not sure other than that.

First off OSU!!!

Ok, just kidding. You are welcomed.

Everything looks good. Contact the transfer department since Michigan is really picky about what they will accept. Expect to retake some classes.

Never heard of OSU having funding issues.

Try to get a professor rec but a gta should be fine also.

Again, have a meeting with a transfer advisor. They will shed some insight.

Would you say that it’s a match? I’m going to apply to some other places (Case, CMU, etc.), but I’m not counting on anything.

Also, I think that the department is trying to keep the funding issues quiet as my only information thus far has come from the aforementioned GTA and a recent statement from the director at a hackathon.

Lastly, I’ll get in touch with a transfer advisor and UMich (if they can help).

This whole thing sucks because I’m only doing this due to issues with scheduling. As of this instant, the department has cut the number of sections of most courses and is underfunded. I scheduled two classes in CSE for next semester and was placed in extremely long waitlists for every available section. Per students, the problem only gets worse as your degree progresses.

@Knowsstuff is there some registry through which I can see which credits will transfer?

Look at the Michigan website under transfer students. All will be revealed
