No, I recieved A’s in 4/6 of my Pre reqs. I recieved a B in my Bio class and am currently taking microbio right now which an A is hopeful. But Pertaining to your question I dont have a 4.0 in my math/science gpa. I would think it would be in the 3.8-3.9 range.

Tech really cares about the math science gpa. Your range is excellent. I think you’ll get in for Biology with no problems. Especially since you can claim in-state. Biology isn’t a “hot” major to transfer into. I’m not trying to sound bad when I say this but being a minority will help too.

Man that really makes me feel alot better, I knew that math and science gpa was factored in too, but i thought my overall gpa would kill me. Also, I assume the hot major for pre-meds there is BME?

3.2 GPA for math/Science and overall transferable GPA for major like management and Biology pretty much get you in. For hot majors (I am not sure BME is one of them), you are automatically in if you have 3.5 on both GPA.

If you have one of GPA (math/science or overall) below 2.7, you are pretty much out.

If you have GPA below that 3.2 (for normal major) and 3.5 (for hot major) and above 2.7, you may still in and there maybe other factors involved (leadership, space in the college, etc).

There are only two transfer admission reviewers so cut off is pretty cut and dry.

The statement above is for in-state applicants only. OOS applicant and international applicants evaluated by different standard.
