Chance me for transferring to UCLA as a Chemistry Major

Hello everyone!

I currently go to a community college in California and am on my second year. I will be applying in Fall 2019 and I want to know my chances of getting into UCLA for the Fall 2020 semester? I’ll have spent 3 years in community college before I transfer. Also, any tips in what I can do to increase my chances would be very helpful!

GPA: 3.73 (Hopefully I can get it up to a 3.8 by the end of my time here in CCC)
Major: Chemistry
Age: 20
Ethnicity: Mixed Asian/Pacific Islander
Prereqs still needed (but will finish by spring): Organic Chemistry, Physics Mechanics, Differential Equations
EC: Lab Assistant for 2 Years at Chemistry Lab, Part Time Jobs, Cambridge Study Abroad Research Program, Piano California Certificate of Merit Completion (10+ years)

Here’s the thing about my GPA. 3 out of the 4 B’s I got were from 3 language courses I took back in high school that counted as college credit. There is no way for me to discredit any course I took in high school so I have no choice but to leave them in my transcript. If we only count the grades I got when I actually started college, my GPA would at least be a 3.9 (all A’s except one B in one chemistry course I got a 89.4% in my first semester -.-)

A lot of the basic advice I’ve gotten is to get an internship, but it’s proving to be harder than I thought. I applied to 100+ internships at this point and am still hoping for one. Don’t worry, I’m still trying!

Will I have to mostly rely on my personal insight to increase my chances of getting in? Are my chances super low?

Also, I should mention that I will have also finished IGETC by the spring before I transfer!
