My only other B's have been graphic design freshman year, AP Gov last year(will a 5 on the exam atone for this), and a mandatory composition class at our school this summer? I got straight A's junior year.

Everything looks pretty good, you have fairly good chances. Your Extra Curriculars are a bit lacking, but aren’t everyone’s? As long as your essays and recs are solid, you have as good a shot as anyone. You still have to remember that even though the early decision acceptance rate was 29%, there is only 1060 freshman slots left for close to 28,000 applicants. The acceptance rate of regular decision should be around 11%, so you are by no means “in”. Best of luck.

1060/28000=3.7%. Ballinallday, are you sure that’s right?

^ Not all admits will ultimately enroll at Duke

I find that question slightly ironic coming from a prospective math major with perfect math scores (no condescension intended lol).

Yeah but what the guy before me said: Duke’s overall yield is something like 42% and 33% for RD so they will admit three-thousand-something.

Oh, whoops. I thought you meant that they admit about 1060. OK, that makes sense now.
