Yeah, it definitely depends on what major you are applying for. Each school within the university makes their own decisions regarding who to give these scholarships to.

It’s nearly impossible to give you an accurate chance for merit scholarships. We don’t know how you’ll perform on the interview, nor who you’re up against. CLAS is the largest school, so there will be a lot of other students vying for the scholarships.

Keep in mind that stats are not necessarily the most important; I received the trustee over individuals who had higher stats than me.

Getting an invitation to interview for the Presidential or Trustee scholarships is as unpredictable as gaining acceptance into the most select universities and ivies. This is a reach for everyone. Each year we see many fine students who get a shock when they are not invited. USC takes a holistic approach to who is considered. NMF have it easier in that they are assured the Presidential.

You have excellent stats. Good luck, but also realize this is never a “lock” for anyone.

I’m a current Trustee scholar. I feel like my stats weren’t super impressive, especially compared to some of the other Trustee scholars I’ve met. However, I think I made a really good impression in my interview.

Your stats look good. I hope you get an interview, and good luck!
