Unweighted GPA: 3.41 (my school doesn't weight)
SAT 2240, 1540
Most advanced math track available, currently enrolled in BC Calculus AP
Have also taken AP Lit and AP Computer Science
Not great extracurriculars, though I have built 3 computers from scratch for fun
No awards etc.

Special circumstance: chronic health problem. I've had recurrent severe migraines, 1-2 days long, 1-2 times/ month, that's made me miss a lot of school (usually about 20 days/year) and has made my work suffer.

I want to go to a school with great Computer Science plus a broad range of courses.

Can you chance me for:

Tufts
Carnegie Mellon (school of Computer Science)
Colby College (3-2 engineering program)
USC
UCSD
UCLA

Your SAT scores are good but everything else seems to be lacking. I would say Tufts is a reach, Carnegie Mellon a high match/low reach, Colby a match, and if you live in Cali all those schools matches. If you don’t I would say high match/Low reach for each? Then again don’t take me for gospel as I’m not sure how each school weighs ECs, GPA and SATs. I’m pretty sure Tufts is more ECs oriented (this was also a few years ago when my brother was applying to colleges, got waitlisted with SATs of 2340? with little to no ECs and a 3.9ish GPA).

^No. Carnegie Mellon is high-very high reach. The School of Computer Science is really as competitive as MIT or Caltech. Tufts is a mid reach-high reach
