Recommendations: from English & Spanish teachers I had last year, I'm on really good terms with both of them. My English teacher personally told me her rec was glowing and I'm sure both will be excellent.

Essay: Wrote about diversity & growing up in a predominantly white town, but with a bit of a twist. It's not as cliche as it sounds. I've had tons of people (English teachers, family, friends, etc.) read it and I've been told it's a very strong piece.

Extracurriculars:
- Dance - 11 yrs, 4 yrs in Senior Company, my studio's performing company. My studio does full-length ballets (Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, etc.) each year for our winter and spring recitals and I've had lead and supporting roles in them since 8th grade. Each fall and winter we perform at local nursing homes and senior citizen centers for community service.
- NHS member

- Tutor at local elementary school
- Peer tutor at my school

National French Exam - French II - placed 8th nationwide, 6th in state

We don’t know rank, but It’s a big reach based on scores alone. Does your high school offer other APs? If yes, rigor is also an issue.

Hey fellow EDer! :)

Well, as far as I can see, you’ve got a reasonably high chance. Your GPA is on par, and your SATs are in their range. Your ECs are highly respectable as well.

Apply, and be confident!

I, on the other hand, am a loser applicant (LOL) because I really won’t get in :((((.

Why?

UW: 3.01 (Yeah…I’m a reject.) W: 3.54…I really slacked off during HS :(((
Course Load: VERY rigorous
SATs: 2220 (730 CR, 720 M, 770 W) Maybe…they’ll love this…I only took it once.
ECs: MIT Leadership Program, Harvard Summer Program. Spanish Club in Senior Year, Science Club Junior Year
Volunteering: ~200 hours. Presidential Bronze Service Award recieved
Ethnicity: Asian American (■■■)
Essays: I really don’t know! :frowning:
Recs: Um…well, I can’t see them…so I AM hoping…because my AP Bio Teacher loved me

Tufts is my DREAM school. My biggest REACH. Maybe since I applied EDII… But I won’t get in. You, however, have a TERRIFIC chance! I’m rooting for you.

Have fun as a Jumbo #Tufts2016 :)

And I’m left to wail and curse myself…

And I also think your positions are extremely strong.

If only I could be a Jumbo…:((((((

Good luck…You’ll get in…:)

your math sat is low, and your lit sat ii is low. don’t send the lit one unless you already have haha, and hope for the best that they overlook your math sat! :)

best of luck to you, honestly none of us can say with absolutely certainty whether you’ll get in, but you have a chance for sure!
