So I’m applying ED to Tufts this year, but I’m feeling really nervous.
1400 SAT (710 math, 690 W/R, 19 essay)

Assistant leader for technical theatre club, volunteered to be a part of the tech crew at a professional production company (helped at 2 shows - ran lights and cued audio), NHS and leader of an initiative (tutoring middle schoolers)
Sports - lacrosse goalie. Part of the school club for 4 years but played in a team outside of school in junior and senior year (trains you for the national team).
Service - co-founder/Co-Leader of a service club (computer/ipad lessons for the elderly, co-founder of a charitable society in Hong Kong for refugees, co-leader in committee that organizes monthly outings for refugees, volunteer on a service trip to an orphanage (went 3x in 9th, 10th, 12th grade), participant of a club that teaches English to kids who have learning disabilities

I would say my common app essay was unique. Recommendation letters should be fairly strong.
I know my standardized testing scores are comparatively weak. And I know that I probably should have considered taking more subject tests relating to engineering (well, I did…but they didn’t turn out so great - I’m really just not a great test taker). I’m hoping that the other aspects of my application will balance it out. But I’m still really scared that it will drag it down…
