Demographics, etc: Caucasian, middle class, female, large public school, Kentucky, divorced parents, both parents are small business owners with college degrees, one parent has served jail time and been to rehab several times (idk if this will ever come up but)
Downfalls: illness, taking 4 AP classes, and mental health problems Junior year caused me to get 4-5 B’s over two semesters; my highest science ACT score is currently a 28.
That’s all the stats I can think of. Tufts/Vassar are currently my top schools. What do you think are my chances of getting in?

I cant say anything about Vassar, but for tufts your chances look alright, your GPA is a bit low as well as your class rank since about 90% of admitted students to tufts are in the top 10% of their class. Also, make sure to explain why you got 4-5 Bs junior year because if it was fully due to mental health problems it is out of your control. Also, the 75th percentile act for tufts is 33 and the 25th percentile is 30. a 32 is on the higher side so you don’t really need to retake it.

@StudyFoxx that info I should a bit out of date. The average ACT score for Tufts is now 33. The new range isn’t published yet but is probably around 32-34 (last year’s being 31-34). 32 would actually be on the lower side, as it was for this year’s admits.

@StudyFoxx Thank you so much!

@Tufts2021 Thanks for the clarification!

I think you have a good shot at both.
