Hi! I am an Aisan female and following are my stats:

GPA: – (we don’t have a GPA system)
Class rank: – (not those either)
O Levels: 6 As, 2 As.
A Levels: Accounting (A), Business Studies (A*), Economics (B), AS English Language ©
SAT: 1940 (not sure if I should submit)

Intended major: Marketing

Valedictorian in O Levels (class of 2013)

Major ECs: x1 Marketing internship (160 hours), teacher at a local school (168+ hours), been teaching elementary math and english to underprivileged kids for two years (480+ hours), babysitting (275+ hours), writer at an international online magazine.

Honors: Came off as fourth best at the 2015 Accounting Quiz orgranized by CIMA-UK (recognized worldwide), won Dawn Spelling Bee competition district round in 7th grade.

Leadership positions: Head Girl, President Literary Society.

Is Tulane a reach? What are my chances? Also please help me decide if I should send in my SAT score.

your sat score is on the low end for Tulane but is still within range. If you do the optional essays, I think you have a good shot at getting in. and do send in your sat score; I think it’s mandatory for international students , and its not a bad score. Good luck!

I wouldn’t mention the 7th-grade spelling bee. Unless you won a Nobel prize or a nationwide competition, listing awards from 8th grade or before will make it seem as though you have very few accomplishments worth mentioning. Just as you won’t be listing your SAT score on a CV in 10 years’ time, you shouldn’t list awards from 7th grade in your college application.
