Department intended: Economics

Testing. You must shoot up.

otherwise, I’m on the right track right?

Your courseload is good… but your CR score is well below average for Chicago.

What would be a solid score? I am planning to retake the SAT so hopefully I can get into the 750 range

The mid 50% range is 720 - 800 for CR. And as an Asian (I’m assuming Korean because you have “choi” in your username), it’s probably a better idea to have a score at the upper end of that scale.
Then again, I’m an Asian male and my score was below that.

I’ll definitely be looking to score in that range. Just a side question, but does U-chicago even take my writing score into account?

No, U of C does not take Writing into account.

Try to get your M/CR into the 1500 range. My D was accepted EA with a 1480. I think she was a little lucky and was bolstered by strong essays, ECs, and recommendations. Even then, the EA acceptance rate was about 11-12% and the overall rate 8+%. Many excellent candidates get turned down.

I’ll try to convey myself with my essays! Thanks for all the great advice.
