Do you guys think I have a shot at engineering? Would it be better if I applied for LSA and then transferred later? I’ve already gotten in Purdue for engineering, but I think it’s less selective.

Your gpa and sat are below average for engineering but first generation will def help and it’s something they consider. I think you should just apply directly to engineering because it’s a hassle to transfer from lsa to engineering and I heard it’s difficult. Also Purdue is already a great school for engineering but if u don’t get into umich engineering first time u can always transfer from Purdue if u want. Purdue is also a lot cheaper than umich. Your income is perfect for questbridge, have you applied for that? Idk if umich will give u enough financial aid for your income but it’s getting better. Also def apply ASAP don’t wait until the deadline because it shows you are not interested since it’s rolling for regular decision.
