Berkeley: Match

Is your GPA somehow not top-7%? Or you have other issues with UT-Austin Cockrell?

You seem very qualified, good GPA, great ECs. I could say it’s a high match/low reach, but that doesn’t mean much. I’d say you’ll probably make it, I’d be surprised if you don’t.

I’d say a high match, you’ll most likely get in. Good luck. Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1586584-chance-me-some-schools.html

@Catria

No, it is. I have auto admission to UT Austin Cockrell, but I’ve read/heard that Berkeley is better for engineering, and I would also like to go out of state.

If it were anything besides Engineering, I’d say high match-low reach, but since it is, that bumps it up to a mid-reach in my opinion. Not because you’re bad, but because of how many people with similar stats are also applying. Good luck!

match for Cal. Best of luck

Berkeley is hard for out of state students.

What is your SAT score? Try for at least 2150+ to be competitive.

Make sure you have a clear reason why you want to study Civil Engineering.

Good Luck.
