Chance Me for UC Berkeley Transfer

Hello, I just got out of high school in June 2013, and due to family problems, I was not able to attend the college that I was said yes to. I went to community college for summer school and took 15 units (5 classes). I got all A's in those 5 classes, and I have 2 AP classes from high school which equate to 24 units. I was planning to take 18 units in the Fall, and 18 in the Spring and maintain a 4.0 GPA since I handled the rigorous summer with a 4.0. I will have 24 units when I apply in October, and 60 completed by the end of Spring 2014. I am applying to UC Berkeley as a Fall 2014 Transfer from a community college.

Does anyone know what I can do to improve my chances? I know I'm rushing but I can handle it. Any advice? Also will UCs look down on me for only having 60 units (the minimum) by the end of Spring?

if you keep up a high gap, and have good ex’c you have a chance, but it is hard to tell because you are so new to college. ask again when you have 1 semester to go

Indeed. Maintaining a 4.0 is by far the most important thing you can do. Admission for transfers is much more numbers based than for freshmen.
