chance me for UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD please!

I applied to the College of Natural Resources at UCB and L&S at UCLA. I put down something biology related for UCSD.

My UC gpa: 3.78 :(
I have all As except 2 Cs and 1 B (in honors/AP courses)

UC weighted gpa: 4.13 (though I've heard that Berkeley and UCLA don't utilize the 8 semester cap)
Fully weighted gpa: 4.52
Took the following honors and APs:
Chemistry Honors
Pre-Calc Honors
AP Calc BC
AP Chem
AP Language and Composition
French 4 Honors
AP US History
AP Music Theory

Also took a college course in Sociology 1

SATs:
SAT 1: 2390
chem: 800
lit: 760
us history: 790
math 2: 800

Extracurriculars
School sports team from 10th grade to present
Random volunteering- children's summer camps, autistic children helper
active member of several clubs at school
also have a job as a tutor and learning assistant

I am mostly worried about my "low" unweighted GPA. First semester of junior year I was really overwhelmed with my course load (2 honors, 4 APs) and thus my GPA suffered, but it improved a lot 2nd semester. Hopefully the UCs will take that in consideration. -___-

So: what are my chances of getting into these schools? Much appreciated :)

bump! 10 char

Id say you have a pretty good shot at all these schools, especially with that SAT score.

;D

thanks.
bump! I’d like more chances :D

bump! I’m SUPER worried about my unweighted GPA. It’s causing me to lose sleep :(

I’d say good shot as your scores are off the charts for UCs, which balances the GPA.

Not so sure of Berkeley though, Gpa is their biggest factor and test scores aren’t as too important to them. In at UCSD, for UCLA, flip a coin and you tell me (50% shot), and i’d guess a 25% chance at Berkeley.

^ are you sure you didn’t calculate your UC Gpa wrong? It seems as if it should be higher…

I recalculated and my UC gpa is actually 3.8, which I don’t think really makes a difference
Will it at least help that I took a really heavy courseload in junior year?
Also I applied to the College of Natural Sciences at Berkeley which I heard is easier to get into. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

is it like out of the question of getting into UCLA with a 3.8 10-12 A-G GPA(which is the UC one)?
like with a ACT score of 29 and tons of extracurriculars and community service hours?! and no C’s ever?!

What’s your rank, and are you IS or OOS?

If you fall in the top 5% or 10% of your school, then you’re definitely in at UCSD and have a great shot at UCLA, but UC Berkeley would be a low reach or a high match.

If you’re OOS though, UCLA and UCB would both be reaches due to the selectivity.

I’m not sure if you were referring to me or ilikebananas
for me, i’m in state, from sf bay area
we dont have percentiles at my school but I dont have ELC so im def not 4% but i’d have to say I’m probably around like top 10-20%
what do you think my chances are at UCSD and UCLA?

and i put cognitive science as my major at UCLA and jewish studies as alt. major
for UCSD I put cognitive science as my major also and human development as my alt. major.

last time I checked this was MY chances thread. :D

to add on- I’m in-state, and in the top 20% by unweighted GPA. But by weighted I’m definitely in the top 5%; unfortunately my school doesn’t weight GPAs when placing us into deciles

I think you have a good chance at all of them, but less at UCB than the other two. GPA is fine, much better than mine, and your test scores are amazing. I’d say match for UCLA and UCSD, reach for UCB.

Chance me back!
