Chance me for UC berkeley, UCla, UCsd

I'm a junior with:

Class Rank: 40/527
U.W. GPA: 3.43
W. GPA: 4.06

SAT I: 2250 (CR-720, M-800, W-730) (Should I retake?)

SAT II: Biology - 740
Math Level 2 - 800
Korean - 780
I'm also planning on taking US History and Chemistry

AP classes: Biology AP (AP test - 5), US History AP, Chemistry AP, Calculus AB AP
Signed up for: English 4 AP, Statistics AP, Calculus BC AP, Psychology AP, Gov/Econ AP, Physics AP

ECs: NHS, CSF, Volunteer at Hospital- 200+ hours, Church Praise Team Assistant Leader, Certificate of Merit for Keyboard Level 9

Please chance me for: UC Berkeley (EECS), UCLA, Cal Tech, Stanford, UCSD, USC

GPA is the only thing holding you back.
UCLA and UCSD are match.
Kinda reach on the others mainly due to your GPA.

ok but should i retake SAT I?

It's good enough for UC's (including EECS) and Cal Tech. Higher for Stanford and I'm not too familiar with USC.

Nice SAT- I think it is fine.

Oh wow, Castel, no.

Berkeley and UCLA stress GPA immensely. Even if you have a great SAT score, it won't make up for a low GPA (as it can at other top universities). Not the best rank, either. So:

Berkeley: big reach [GPA, EECS]
UCLA: reach [GPA]
Caltech: reach [GPA, ECs]
Stanford: big reach [GPA, ECs, lack of focus/passion]
UCSD: slight reach [GPA]
USC: reach to slight reach [GPA -- SAT score will help]

Don't bother retaking the SAT; it won't help much. I'd suggest finding more match schools, like the midtier UCs (UCSB, UCD, UCI). And for safeties, you might look at UCR, UCSC, and UCM.

I'm sorry I'm not as experienced as you are :-)

'Sfine. You'll grow. =p

hmm.. ok so should i try to raise my gpa as much as possible?

will taking summer classes at community colleges help?

You can't do much now; your junior year is almost over. CC classes don't help your hs GPA.

-_-... cuz i have one more chance to take the SAT and im sure i can get a better score than 2250

bump bump bump

Caltech/Stanford: Reaches
Cal/UCLA: Slight reaches
SD/USC: Match
Rest: safeties

im assuming ur a cali resident from "CSF" involvement

focus on raising your UC GPA, your test scores are great

thanks :]

and yeah i live in SoCal
