Chance me for UC, CSU, UW, CalTech, Santa Clara, Stanford, Emory & USC

For most students, budget is more important than stats in constraining college choice.

I had UCSC as my safety school looks like that is not going to be the case.

Sorry about that, 3.964 is unweighted, weighted GPA is 4.44 and weighted capped is 4.23.

I updated this with my junior year gpa and improved SAT score.

Cal Poly uses all 3 years. Is that 10/11 or 9/10/11?

Thanks

That makes a big difference.

you can use this tool to see admit rate by GPA band for each UC. You will note that UCLA and UCB reject more than 60% of applicants with a 4.2+ UCGPA. They will be a coin toss at best.

with a 4.23 capped UCGPA, you will probably get into Santa Clara and the rest of the UCs but, CS has gotten really selective. If you are set on that major, apply very broadly. I wouldn’t consider UCSC a safety. I’d add SDSU and CPP as safety options with very well respected CS Programs.

With single digit admit rates, Stanford and CalTech are reaches for everyone.
I don’t really know enough about the OOS schools to give you a real sense of your chances.

Test blind UCs and CSUs makes things really hard to predict. Apply broadly and good luck.

Santa Clara is not a UC. @NCalRent but I think you know that!

indeed - Santa Clara isn’t a UC.
sorry,

I don’t think a 4.23 get you into Cal Poly CS either, especially considering your 3 year capped and weighted will be lower. The added year dilutes the impact of the weighting.

If you want to apply to Cal Poly, and you absolutely should, you should choose SE. Your odds improve greatly if you live in SLO County or north of Gaviota in SB county.

Good luck.

My SLO GPA (9-11 capped) is 4.17 and 4.23 is UC Capped (10-11).

If you want Cal Poly on your list, choose SE. It’s slightly less competitive and without test scores, you need to choose wisely. You can switch from SE to CS, but most CSs do SE anyway. Good luck!

i agree. CA at CP SLO will be a reach. Selecting a less competitive major lowers the bar signficiamnly.

That will give you a sense of GPA at the college level.

As i note above the other CP (Pomona) would be good safety.
