Currently a senior, was at a private school for 9th and 10th. Excluding my 12th and 9th my weighted gpa is a 3.95 but that is mainly because in 10th grade i got a 3.6 weighted gpa due to taking 4 aps. In 11th grade I got a 4.2 weighted gpa which shows major improvement. I got a 34 on Act which I’m not sure is good enough. I have so far taken 11 APs and 2 of them were in freshman year. For Ec, I volunteered at a hospital for over 100 hours and have been doing some volunteer sevices with a local doctor. I would like to apply for Biology.

Post both capped weighted and fully weighted.
unweighted: 3.36
weighted: 4.17
Capped and weighted: 4.17
There is no way your capped weighted UC GPA can be the same as your Fully weighted since capped weighted takes into account a maximum of 4 AP classes for 10-11th (8 semesters). If your UC UW GPA 3.36 for 10-11th, then your capped weighted should be around 3.7-3.8 max.
Please recalculate or PM your grades so I can help.
What should I do because in 10th grade I was at a private school which had a trimester system. In 11th grade I went to a school with a semester system.
That makes it more difficult to determine using the Rogerhub calculator. You can calculate your 10th grade UC GPA using the trimester option with the calculator and a maximum of 2 AP classes (6 honors pts for 3trimesters each) then calculate your 11th grade using the semsester option. Then average the 2 years to get a good approximation of the capped weighted. UCSD and UCD both use the capped weighted in their posted statistical data. Just based on your UW GPA and what you posted on your original post, I would put your Capped weighted in the 3.8 GPA range.
You hsve very good course rigor which will help you but for capped weighted the max # of AP honors points is still 4 classes.
Also, select an non-capped/non-impacted major for UCSD as an alternate since Biology is a capped major there.
You have a better chance at UCD, although Biology is also impacted.
Freshman admit rates (2016) for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 capped weighted and not major specific:
UCB: 14%
UCLA: 14%
UCSD: 44%
UCSB: 54%
UCD: 58%
UCI: 65%
UCSC: 85%
UCR: 94%
UCM: 96%
Apply widely and have some safeties on your list.
Thank you so much you have been a great help.
