<p>you’ll have a difficult time at the ucs since you are oos especially if you need significant aid. also, it will also be harder to go for engineering since your sat scorings for math is somewhat low.</p>

<p>assuming that is your UC gpa. hopefully you know what that is.</p>

<p>yes, it’s fine. hopefully you can deal with the costs of oos and can somehow compensate for your mid-low math scores if you are going into engineering.</p>

<p>I don’t think USC is more selective for out of state, being a private school and all. If you pull up your SAT by 100-150 ish points you should have a solid chance of being admitted. It’s still one of the more expensive schools in the nation though</p>

<p>i didn’t say usc would be more difficult b/c he was oos. my 2nd post was referring only to the ucs since his question was toward the ucs.</p>

<p>Bump! Thanks guys I chanced you back! Is UC Irvine really a commuter school still? I read from threads 2-4 years ago that it is but a lot of others said it isn’t? whats the solid answer?</p>
