essays:
- most significant challenge you’ve faced: wrote on challenges as an african american student
- taking advantage of educational opportunity to overcome challenge: taking advantage of tutoring and breaking out of my shell when taking ap chem as i was the only student in the class who wasn’t in science based activities like biotech
- leadership: talked about implementing new teaching methods to a student when tutoring and how it increased her success
- favorite academic subject and how youve shown interest outside of the classroom: connected taking psych and developing a passion for it which led into my idea of starting a national alliance on mental illness club
i believe that my extracurriculars connect to my major well and the fact that i mentioned i want for become a child psychiatrist but i’m scared that they won’t think i’m dedicated bc i put like 1.5 hours per week for every activity besides 2 and realized that i undermined the actual amount of work i put into them. also only 2 of the activities i’ve done for 2 years, the rest have only been a year or less for the ones i started as a senior. do you think this is a problem?
