After submitting my application one month ago, I'm becoming really anxious and think something in my application went wrong.

Here's my schools:
UC Berkeley (Computer Science L&S)

UC Davis (Electrical Engineering)

UC Irvine (Electrical)

UC Merced (Computer Engineering)

UC Santa Cruz (Robotics Engineering)

Cal Poly SLO (Electrical)

Stats:

4.05 Weighted
3.83 Unweighted

1390 SAT (460 CR, 480 M, 450 W)

20 ACT (20 Eng, 15 M, 19 R, 27 Sci, 21 Writing)

My school only offers 2 AP courses throughout all 4 years. I've gotten the ELC Top 9% letter, and have 200+ work experience at a guitar store and 300+ volunteer work.

I’m sorry to say that your SAT and ACT score will be detrimental in the process, especially the math score for engineering.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the above post. I don’t think think you stand a chance at any of the schools you listed besides maybe Merced (and maybe Santa Cruz, but I think your chances are very slim).

Did you apply to any CSUs or safeties? Have you looked at test-optional schools? Have you considered going to a CC then transferring to a UC or CSU?

Well. I figured as much, Merced and SF State are my safeties. And I would consider CC for 2 years and then transferring to a good school. I’ll just have to look at my options when I get them.

UCB and UCLA: Very very high reach
UCSB, UCI, UCD, UCSD: High Reach
UCSC: Reach
UCR: High Match
UCM: Match

No I’m not a ■■■■■

Merced and SFSU are not safeties for you. They are matches. Your test scores are actually close to the 25% of students. This would normally mean these schools are high matches, but I think they are solid matches for you because you have a good GPA.

Also, since you recieved an ELC letter, you are guaranteed admissions at one UC, which will probably be Merced. If you are really set on getting into any UC, you have no need to worry since you will get into at least one.

High Reach means basically impossible to get in.

You don’t have to go to a community college. As noted in post #8, you are guaranteed admission at a UC campus, probably Merced and possibly Riverside. If you want to go to a UC other than Merced or Riverside, then you might consider doing two years at a community college, then transferring to the UC.

There’s no turning back for me. I did all I could for test scores, it’s over. I am highly considering CC for two years and then transferring to a good school since I did screw up real badly on test scores. Unless I luckily get a decent UC school.
