I'm planning on majoring in econ or business and marketing
My essay will be very well thought out and moving. I have many hardships to write about.

Please evaluate my chances for:
UCI
UCSB
UCD
UCSD
UCLA
UCB

Thanks in advance for the advice :)

UCI - Match
UCSB - Match
UCD - Match
UCSD - High Match
UCLA - Low Reach
UCB - Mid Reach

If your essays are strong because of your “hardships”, you have a good chance at UCLA and Berkeley.

I feel like Berkeley and LA have the same chance of getting in. In my case, I know someone with a 3.5 non weighted that got into Cal and not LA and Ucsd.

Back to your stats, I suggest taking the ACTs. You never know, you might get a 32 or 33 which would put you higher up. Plus most applicants do not take the ACT. In my case, I took the ACT in September of my senior year and ended up doing better on that than the SATs. For your ECs, you remind me a lot of myself. So I’d say that’s a good thing, I got into every single UC (:. Best of luck. I’d say you’re in everywhere and that LA and Cal are slight reaches. LA focuses more on academic stats while Cal will accept you if you have one heck of an essay and extra curriculars. Good luck. (:

thanks for the feedback! bump?

Try for all of the UCs I have 2 friends that had 3.3 gpas and one got into UCLA and the other UCB. It’s definitely not out of the question but surprisingly being a resident gives you a huge advantage.

They are transfer students also.

I know a kid from last year, Indian, who went to a good private high school, had a 740 on his math sat, who got into Santa Barbara, but not Berkeley or UCLA or San Diego.

It is very tough nowadays to get into the top UC schools, but I am sure you know that.
