Thank You!

Your grades are really great. You have a very solid chance at all of these schools! As long as you show passion for your ECs you should be fine…

And by first gen college, do you mean first gen EVER or first gen in the US? Because if it’s first gen in the US (like if your parents went to college in Korea), the UCs don’t consider that as anything of significance.

As for recommendations of other schools, what do you want to major in? That would sort of help Lol. But with your sort of grades, you should also consider Cornell, possibly UPenn! (:

I suck at chancing people, so sorry if this didn’t help at all!

Btw, we’re really similar - both Korean, female, living in CA (my high school’s 24th for API)…you’re just like a version of me that I wish I was (if you click on my chance link, you’ll see why haha)

Chance me if you can! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/894712-asian-painfully-banal-craptastic-junior-year-grades-do-i-still-have-chance-2.html</a></p>

UCI: in - youve got the grades, and the scores

UCSD: low match/safety-see above

UCLAmatch/low match: with your stats you have a seriously great shot

Berkely: high match- really competitive school, but you have a really competitive resume, great job!

Also look at- USC, Stanford?, The claremont schools, Oxy, perhaps ivy league(if thats what your into)?, depending on what you want to study: Duke, Rice, tufts, really any competitive school nationwide

The whole first gen think is a heck-of-a hook
You will go to a great school

Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/889642-chance-me-rice-duke-jhu-ect-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

Honestly, you live in California, and, for the most part, your resume is excellent. The only thing that is slightly lagging is your ECs, which really doesn’t count for much when compared to your transcript and SAT scores so. I think you are 95% in at UCLA, UCSD, and UC Irvine. Berkeley would be 80%. Good luck mate!

um…bumb?

Any other? bump

Dare I another bump. That I do.

They are all matches, congratulations.

UC Berkeley-IN
UCLA-IN
UCSD-IN
UCI-IN.

If you are truly ambitious, consider applying to some Ivy’s as well.

UC Berkeley: Reach
UCLA: Low Reach
UC San Diego: Match
UC Irvine: Match

You possibly could apply to Stanford and the Ivies (high reaches for both).

I don;t think you’ll have any problem with any of these schools, especially since you’re a Cali resident

your in at all not because of your gpa but because of your killer SAT’s. i called the UC’s and they said they will forgive a guy for having low gpa but high test scores but they will not forgive low test scores for high gpa because then theyll think your high school didnt prepare you well enough. but you seem to have the total package

wow good job i dont think any of the UC schools you listed would be a reach. they all seem like good matches but i would get the comunity service up just a little and u might even make those schools safeties. Good luck
