CS is probably one of the most competitive majors at the UC’s and they are very GPA focused. You have some good major related EC’s and a solid SAT score (do not send ACT) but it will be a tough admit.
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:
UCB: 2%
UCLA: 3%
UCSD: 6%
UCD: 11%
UCSB: 13%
UCI: 16%
UCSC: 47%
UCR: 64%
UCM: 80%
You need to add UCSC and UCR to your list and also some Cal States for safeties: SDSU/CSULB/CPP
Some UC’s such as UCSD/UCSB and UCI will consider your alternate major if not accepted into your first choice.
Why should I not send my ACT score?
Your ACT is bit lower than your SAT and you already have a lopsided list of Reach schools. Your ACT will definitely not help your chances. Also, I did not notice you already have UCSC on your list which would be your only Match school out of the UC’s unless you apply to UCR or UCM.
UCI probably won’t happen but, you should apply anyhow. Also apply to UCR, UCSC, UCM and SDSU - all have solid programs and are likely to admit you.
