Your % chance of admissions based on…

GPA - 10.7%

However, I’m assuming you have all 700+ in your SAT breakdown, so based on

SAT CR - 53.7% chance of admissions
SAT M - 42.7%
SAT W - 53.6%

If you’re a CA resident and in the top 4% of your class (meaning you’re ELC), you have a 66.0% shot of admissions.

These are just broad statistics, but assuming you’re a CA resident you have a decent chance. Your GPA is pretty low, but your scores are higher than the avg applicant.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/847941-chance-nearly-2nd-semester-senior-hypsm.html

That’s a gross misinterpretation of statistics…

I’d say you have a great shot at admission.

There was no interpretation to begin with. These are numbers directly released by the University of California. Applicants with X were accepted at a rate of Y%. Obviously relying on these statistics for an accurate idea of your admissions chance is foolish because they only consider one of many factors. Anyone could tell you that.

If you’re OOS, I’d give you a 95% chance of getting in. They are going to take 25% OOS this year, and find people willing to pay $50K plus won’t be easy. In state will depend on your UC GPA, but if it’s 4.2 or above, I’d say good chance.
