The reason for my low freshman grades is because my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and I had a difficult time handling it. I ended up transferring schools after one semester and then my father had a severe heart attack and I mentally gave up on school because I was overwrought over my parents health.

The schools I am applying to for Finance major are: UCB, USC (Marshall), U of Indiana (Kelley), UPenn (Wharton), NYU Stern, U of Michigan (Ross), U of Ohio (Fisher), CMU (Tepper), U of Virginia, UNC Chapel Hill, Washington St. Louis (Olin), University of Notre Dame (Mendoza)

Thank you very much for looking at this :)

Apparently it won’t let me edit it again but for hooks I am first generation for college

Good chances for all.

I would say you’re a match to all on this list besides:

-UCB
-USC
-UPENN
-CMU
-Washington
-Notre Dame

All of these schools are quite unpredictable, but boosting your SAT (December) might be significantly beneficial.

Also im an AP scholar with honor and I willl finish 10 AP tests if that matters. Unfortunately, the december test im taking the math 2 subject test so I can’t take the sat test again.

you have good chances for all, however, just to clarify, I find some of your stats a bit weird
first generation college student with 1,000,000 income bracket?
and, your senior class only has 42 students?

My parents were refugees from the vietnam war so they did not have the opportunity to go to college. My parents have a successful business so that is why their income is high. Also, there are around 70ish people in my senior class but our rankings don’t count transfer students past 10th grade and international students and we have a lot at our school

Solid chances at your reaches, so hopefully you can get into one of them. How’s your school? How many grads does it send to the schools your applying to? That should give you the best indicator on your chances relative to GPA/rank/rigor.

Also, you could try taking the SAT in Jan. I know Penn accepts Jan scores, dunno about others, but your scores are fine IMHO

Thanks for the info, I did not know Penn accepts the January scores so I might take it then. Other than that, the past two years, my school has had 3 students accepts to UCLA/Berkeley each year but this year in particular we have a really strong class academically when it comes to depth so it might change this year hopefully :P

You definitely have a good chance at all of these schools, you are bound to get into at least one of them. Except for Wharton… you probably won’t get into Wharton no offense

No offense taken aha  I understand

bump bump bump

UCB - High match/low reach
USC (Marshall) - High match/low reach
UPenn (Wharton) - Reach (It’s an Ivy)
NYU Stern - Match
U of Michigan (Ross) - Match/high match
U of Virginia - High match/low reach
UNC Chapel Hill - Match

Thanks for chancing me :).

Solid chances for all of them, Except Warton. Also note that Notre Dame’s program does not start until after freshman year, so you’ll get into Notre Dame, but you just need to work hard to get into the business school sophomore year.

Chance me back please

Thanks for the info on Notre Dame, I will chance you back once I get to school :)
