Chance Me for UCB, Rice, and all the like! (I have more cookies)

Hiya, please chance me for UCB (as I hastily finish an application that's totally not due on 11/30). I want to major in either EECS or Biology (Micro/Molecular/Bioeng). Should I apply L&S or CoE? Also please chance me for MIT, Rice, Carnegie Mellon, and Stanford.

Academics 'n Stuff
UW: 4.0 / W: ~4.26 (Freshman:4.0/Sophomore: 4.33/Junior: 4.66)
Class Rank: 1/~530
SAT: 2120 (730 R, 750 M, 640 W)
790 Biology M/800 Physics/800 Math II
ACT: 34 (33R/34M/36E/34S)
APs: World Hist (3), Environmental Science (Test Only-4), Biology (5), Lang (5), US History (5), Physics B (5), Calc BC (5)
Race: Chinese
One of the better public schools in Hawaii (we're STEM heavy). Rec letters are coming from teachers I'm close with (robotics/calc/lang).

*Senior Year Course Load *url=http://pastebin.com/qMF2Kagm</a>
AP Physics C, AP Chemistry, AP Lit, AP CompSci, Robotics (new class), A+ C/D & My Calc BC teacher will be teaching me Calc 3/4 (doesn't count for credit, pretty much a self-study+awesome teacher )

Extracurriculars
• FIRST Robotics (10-12) / Project Manager this year
I freaking love robotics spew gibberish -- I hopped around looking for interests throughout high school and this hit me real hard, mostly because it goes beyond the technical stuff--there's a whole business/financing side to it (costs 18k/year to run)
• Science Club (10-12) /President this year
• Lunch Buddies (10-12) /President this year
Another club I really like, we hang out with the school's special education kids every Tuesday and Thursday during lunch
• Mock Trial (9-11)
• NHS (10-12)

I'm afraid that my skipping around will look bad, especially abruptly ending mock trial (our lawyer quit due to some messy things) and newswriting.

• I'm interned at our college's drone tech lab this summer
• Volunteer at a hospice since summer of 2013 (100+ hours)
• Volunteer instructor at a STEM camp for 4th-6th graders our robotics club hosts (I coordinated two of them, including one this past October w/ 48 students)
• Tutor students at local elementary & middle school

Awards 'n Stuff
• National History Day State Finalist [6th Place in Website for National Competition + Special Award]
• Science Olympiad State Competition
2013: State Champs (Genetics—1st Place, Water Quality—1st Place)
2014: 2nd Place @ States (Genetics—2nd Place, Anatomy—2nd Place, Disease Detectives—3rd Place)
• 2014 State Science Bowl 2nd Place
• Harvard Book Award
• Hawaii Journalism Award (Best Print Newspaper & Best Photography)

Interesting facts are that I "immigrated" to America (parents are first gen, I was born in America, but I moved to China when I was <1 y/o and lived there until I was 5/6) and that I'm neurotic when it comes to formatting. Essays will be about family issues that have been going on since second grade, my childhood addiction to this website called "Neopets", hospice experience, and robotics. I also like potatoes.

Thanks! :)

UCB is hard to predict, but it seem to be a match for a solid applicant like you.
Same for Rice.
You are a citizen, correct?

@paul2752‌ Yup! I had something like an extended Visa when I was living in China.

Thanks for chancing me! :)

I think that you’re very well qualified for these schools and have a good chance for both. However, since UCB has a very high Asian population, it will be a little more unpredictable even though your stats are great.
chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1711214-chance-me-please-will-chance-back.html?new=1</a></p>

Pls chance me back , thanks

All your schools are hard D: why dont u try EDing one of them?

MIT and Stanford are basically a crapshoot, both are probably high reaches D: But if you write a stellar essay or captivate them some how, you never know! You definitely qualify past the the initial screening

Carnegie Mellon adore high scores and your scores are fantastic! Probably a high match or low reach depending on what course you are applying for, lemme know?

Rice is the same - your 34 ACT will help more than you think, they seem to adore standardised testing (at least according to my school naviance). Probably a high match/low reach too

CMU and Rice are pretty good spots for you to look at because they value high testing scores as the person right before me commented. Also, I am guessing you are from Hawaii, based on that Hawaiian paper thing in your ECs. This would make UCB a bit harder for you, as you are an out of state. UCB would be a reach for you, along with Stanford and MIT. These 3 colleges I just mentioned have a very unpredictable admissions process, so hope for the best, but expect the worst. You, however, are in a better position than most of the people who are applying to these schools because of your stats. Good luck!

Could you please chance me back? Thank you!

UCB doesnt care whether the op is an asian or not…UC schools are banned to do so
