I'm a HS senior and I applied to the University of Chicago, Vanderbilt University, and Washington University (the one in St. Louis). Here are my strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths:
-I have a 3.98 unweighted GPA, 4.45 weighted
-I got a 2280 on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT
-I'm a National Merit finalist and Presidential Scholars candidate
-I do community service at the local library and nursing home
-I'm an editor for the school newspaper
-I'm in the National Honor Society
-I have a few other misc. extracurricular activities, mostly academic
-I've taken a total of 8 AP classes
-I already applied and got into the University of Kansas honors program (It's easy to get into the school itself, but hard to get into honors.)

Weaknesses:
-I'm not in the top ten for class rank. I think I'm currently at like #21 or something
-I've never done high school sports
-I have a lot of EC's, but few of them show real "leadership ability"
-I'm about average at writing college essays, but not truly good at them.
