Chance me for Uchicago

Hi!

I'm an Indian National, who will be applying in ~Nov,2012 (as an international) for an undergrad in Engineering/Computer Science, fall semester (2013), at U Chicago.

Please chance me? Also, how would applying Early Action help me out?

About Me:

SAT 1 - 2170 (700/760/710) - 96th percentile (May scores)
SAT 2 - Will take it in October - Physics, Math 2, maybe Chemistry too?
GPA (/4.0) - 11,12th - 3.8 & 9,10th - 4.0

--Subjects are comparable or at higher levels than US equivalent APs.

ECs:

Essays won't be a problem; I'm sure I can write some really good ones. Same goes for LORs - my teachers know me really well and should be able to write up some substance-valuable essays. Also, anything I can do to improve my chances would be helpful.
Thanks!

well your class rigor and grades are really good, but i would try and get some more EC’s in. i feel like most of the applications for UChicago will have around the same EC’s that you do. other than that i feel like you have a good shot. at least that’s my opinion :)

What type of ECs? I have about 4-5 months to app time.

Also, since I’m international, they are need-sensitive. If I apply for financial aid, how much would it affect my chances?

Thanks!

volunteering will def help, and if you can do anything science based that will help show that you’re really into engineering. since there isnt much time, i think volunteering would be your best bet. find something that you really enjoy doing and literally dedicate most (or all) of your time to it. the more hours, the better

Ok; I’ll look into that. I’ll probably do some volunteering.

Any ideas about FA?

Also, I actively+ extensively participate on techguy.com forums, helping people out with Computer and Software problems; Do you think that’s worth something - since my major is CS?
